For the vegetable balls
· 1/2 finely chopped cabbage
· 2 carrot grated
· 2 chopped capsicum
· 2 tbsp. oats powdered
· 1 green chili chopped
· Salt to taste
· 1tsp. black pepper powder
For the sauce
· 10–12 garlic cloves finely chopped
· 1 chopped green chilies
· 1/2 cup spring onions greens
· 3/4 cup chopped carrot+ capsicum +cabbage
· 1 cup water
· 1 tablespoon soy sauce
· 1 tablespoon Oats powder
· Salt to taste
· 1 tsp. oil for tempering
Instructions to make Veggie Oats Manchurian
> To make the vegetable Manchurian balls, mix the cabbage, carrots, onion, 1 teaspoon salt, oats powder, green chilies, and pepper powder.
> Knead it till it comes together to form a sticky mixture. If you feel it is too dry, add a little water. Let it sit for 5 minutes, divide it into equal parts, and make balls roll in your hand.
> Fill the pan with oil.
> Put the balls into the pan, fry on both sides till rusty brown.
> Now for the sauce, heat some oil in a pan and fry the garlic. Add the green chilies, onions, and spring onion greens mixture of cabbage carrot capsicum and stir fry over high flame till the onions are translucent.
> Mix the oats powder with 1tbsp. soy sauce and 1 cup of water. Add it to the pan and stir till a thick gurgling sauce is ready!
> Take it off the flame and just before serving, add the vegetable balls in the sauce and garnish with spring onion greens.
